This one was on the menu at Fresh The Juice Bar as “Energy and Muscle Regeneration.” It’s still the smoothie I make most: blueberries, banana, spinach and kale blended with apple juice. No added sugar, five minutes, one 16 oz cup.
What you need (one 16 oz smoothie)
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 cup spinach
- 1/4 cup kale
- 6 oz apple juice (3/4 cup)
- 4 oz ice (1/2 cup)
How to make it
- Pour the apple juice into the blender first. Liquid on the bottom keeps the blades from jamming.
- Add the banana, blueberries, spinach and kale.
- Add the ice on top.
- Blend on high until smooth, about 45 to 60 seconds.
- Pour and serve right away.
